St Barnabas' Hospice hosted their annual fundraising event 'Strictly Come Grantham 2017' where Regency Teachers Andrew and Magdalena were invited to judge.

Over the course of 11 weeks, eight couples were chosen to learn two dances; the Rumba and the Quickstep. They then performed both dances at the Priory Ruskin Academy in Grantham to become this year’s winner. Andrew and Magdalena were chosen to judge the couples, along with two others, giving scores out of 10 for each dance in true Strictly Come Dancing style as well as providing their feedback on the couple’s performances.

Andrew and Magdalena also opened the second half of the show with a Tango and Paso Doble Show Dance routine that was very well received by the audience. The organiser, Janie McCormick said “We are very pleased with how smoothly the whole evening went and have received some lovely feedback.”

She also commented on the judging saying "I thought you all worked brilliantly together and your questions, comments and scores were well thought out.”. The Hospice was able to raise over £5,000 throughout the night. It was a fantastic and well-run event and The Regency Dance Centre were very honoured to have been involved.
