The Regency Dance Centre is still open for private lessons, dance and fitness classes under Tier 3 restrictions. All classes, lessons and private tuition will continue to run in a safe and CoVid-Secure manner.
As you may be aware, the government is placing the county of Nottinghamshire into Tier 3 lockdown restrictions from Friday 30th October 2020 for a minimum period of 28 days. Once again, we have contacted the local authority for Ashfield (which is where our Dance School resides) to find out how it affects our business.
In the Tier 3 guidance, the current regulations say:
Leisure and sporting facilities (such as leisure centres, gyms, fitness and dance studios, swimming pools and sports courts) can remain open. It is strongly advised that indoor group exercise classes (including dance and fitness classes) should not take place.
All our classes are run under CoVid-Secure guidelines. We have the space and facilities to not only meet these requirements but also exceed them. Here’s a reminder of the most important measures we have in place:
- PRE-BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL! It is vital that before attending classes you book your place in the class. We also request that you make payment before attending to secure your place.
- A minimum of 3M distance between couples from other households. Often, there are spare boxes between couples resulting in at least 6M distancing between couples
- All our teachers wear protective visors and keep their distance from students, including a “no touch” policy.
- A one-way system is in operation. Please enter the building using the main entrance and exit using the rear staircase.
You should also continue to wash/sanitise your hands when entering and exiting the venue and not mix with individuals who are not part of your household or support bubble.
Individuals Travelling from Outside the Area
It is still acceptable to travel to or from a Tier 3 area for educational purposes. As the dance school falls into the education category, you may travel to us for your class or private lesson.
Partnerships from Different Households
It is with much regret to inform you that if you do not live in the same household (or support bubble) then you will not be able to attend lessons at the moment. You may still attend classes as solo dancers, however this will need to be undertaken in a socially distanced way, as outlined above.
If you have any questions, we encourage you to get in touch with us and we will be happy to assist you!
