On Saturday 24/6/17 The Regency Dance Centre will be hosting a Summer Ball in aid of The Dancers' Forget-Me-Not Fund

The evening features dancing to The Beeston Big Band, Dance Demonstration and Buffet. Another highlight of the evening will be a Raffle, proceeds of which will help to raise much needed funds. Any sponsors for the evening or any other kind donations for the raffle would be gratefully received.

The aim and purpose of the Forget Me Not Fund is to support Ballroom dancers who have fallen seriously ill or are in hospital, or are badly injured. Fundraising events, such as the Forget-Me-Not Ball, are one of the main ways of raising funds for the charity.

The Fund raises awareness of its desire to promote the wellbeing of people within the dancing community by providing a gift, currently in the form of a cheque, and a goodwill card. They usually provide about £4,000 of gifts in a typical year. The hope is that this will not only benefit the recipient of the gift by boosting their morale at a time when their personal wellbeing may be at a low point but it also increases the morale of those around them including those in the dancing circle in which the recipient resides. This in turn promotes the Fund and donations to the Fund enabling it to continue in its promotion of wellbeing.

The Dancers' Forget-Me-Not-Fund
